Nati nel 2001 in quel di Mottola, provincia di taranto, per voltà del batterista Peppone (unico sopravvissuto della Line Up originaria), gli Stige arrivano con quest'Ep intitolato ChristMorphosis al terzo lavoro in studio, dopo i demo Discrimnation Disgust del 2002 e Vortex del 2006. Il sound è un Thrash/Death di stampo decisamente U.S.A., quindi con sonorità dedite ad un attacco spietato, senza svedesismi (mi si passi il neologismo). Influenze che spaziano dal Thrash più crudo (Testament in primis) ad un Death brutale (sullo stile dei vari Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation).
Le sei tracce (ventisei minuti la durata) soffrono solo di una produzione leggermente al di sotto delle aspettative, per lo meno pensando a quanto potesse essere valorizzato il sound degli Stige da una produzione maggiormente pulita. Ma a parte questo, i pezzi sono delle vere e proprie raffiche, delle mitragliate sparate dirette e senza badar tanto per il sottile. Pezzi come l'opener e title-track, o la seguente Reign of Hypocrisy, sono i classici pezzi che possono far letteralmente godere, in sede Live, gli amanti della spietatezza sonora.
Un piccolo sforzo in più sul lato produttivo, ed ora staremmo parlando di un piccolo gioiello. resta comunque il fatto che ChristMorphosis è stata una piacevole scoperta, così come la band in questione. L'act pugliese dimostra di non subire alcun timore reverenziale, e di esser pronta a dimostrare di non esser seconda a nessuna. Li aspetto con un album vero e proprio.

Born in 2001 in Mottola, province of Taranto, by will drummer Peppone (the only survivor of the original Line Up), the Stige come with EP entitled ChristMorphosis third studio work after the demo Discrimnation Disgust of 2002 and Vortex 2006. The sound is a Thrash / Death decidedly US-style, and sounds devoted to an attack with a fierce, Sweden (I will walk the neologism). Thrash influences ranging from cruder (Testament in the first place) to a brutal Death (in the style of various Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation).
The six tracks (twenty-six minutes duration) of a production suffer only slightly below expectations, at least thinking about what could be enhanced by the sound of Stige producing more clean. But apart from that, the pieces are real bursts, machine-gun fire without Badar both direct and subtle. Pieces such as the opener and title track, or the following Reign of Hypocrisy, are the classic pieces that can literally enjoy in the Live, lovers of ruthlessness sound.
A little more effort on the production side, and now we would be talking about a little jewel. the fact remains that ChristMorphosis was a pleasant surprise, as the band in question. The Act is shown not to suffer any Pugliese awe, and be prepared to show that he is second to none. We look with an album proper.
